Balloons!

We decided to take Drew to the hot air balloon festival this year. Our plan was to leave our house at 6:00 am but considering that I didn't wake up until 6:00 this morning, that did not happen. My alarm didn't go off b/c I set it for a weekday, which of course, today is not. But we did end up heading out to Baton Rouge and got to see many in the sky while walking to the competition field. Despite being early in the morning, it was super hot with no breeze to speak of. I'm a little glad we weren't out their for hours after all. Drew thought the balloons were super cool! He looked up at the sky and pointed at every one he saw ;) too cute!

Walking from our car...we had to park kind of far but it was actually really nice to walk and let him see so many of them!

We literally only sat on our blanket for about 10 minutes! And he would not look at the camera. Can you blame him though ;) those balloons up close were so pretty!

Now we know what to expect for next year and it was so fun to get up and do something as a family! We even came home and took a take a 2 hour nap!
