Did I ever think I'd be sayin' anything but 'Go Tigers!"? Well...I'm not talking about the Florida Gators...who do you think I am? Benedict Arnold? Never! As some of you know, I recently got offered a job teaching Freshmen Civics/Sophomore World Geography at St. Amant High School here in Gonzales. It is about 4-5 miles from where we just moved and the school district pays starting teachers REALLY well! It is also much closer to New Orleans which is good for Mike commuting to school every day. Things have really fallen into place over the last few months and we feel very blessed! I was able to go check out my classroom the other day and I have my textbooks...gotta get started...I'm pretty nervous about it all but I figured that my freshmen will be pretty nervous too so I think it will be fine! Keep me in your prayers that I can be a good influence and teach these kids something useful!!

Congrats on the new job! I know how you feel when everything falls into place. Things have happened like that for us very often. I love how the Lord blesses us. Congrats again and let me know how everything works out for you!

My first teaching job (06-07) was at ST. Amant! You'll have to tell Mr. Westbrook I said Hello. I really loved it there; if we hadn't moved to Monroe, I would have taught there forever!
