This morning I got up around 5:45, the earliest I have gotten up on purpose since May. I showered, ate breakfast (cooked by my awesome mother...I'm sure I won't be eating that good of a breakfast over the next 10 weeks), and hugged my little man good-bye; thanking him for a wonderful summer together. I'm a little melancholy today. I have spent the last 2 months with Drew every day and I know there won't be too many more days just me and him...once this baby girl gets thrown into the mix. But I have cherished this time with him and I love him more every day. He woke up with the cutest attitude today too...it was so sweet and made leaving a little bit harder.
This summer, Drew has learned many things. He is expanding his vocabulary everyday, it seems. His new words are bib ("turtle bib" when he's wearing his turtle bib), "baby, baby" (when refering to Justin Bieber...I know, I know), "no no, mama" when he does something he shouldn't, "oney" (which is "Honey", Mike's mom), "Elmo", "dog"...there are others but he really does mimic us and what we say much more often these days. He gives great kisses and has decided he does not like his naps or bedtime (its been a struggle). But, he is my joy in life and I am so thankful for a job that gives me so much time off with him!
Drew, I love you, sweet boy! Thank you for a wonderful summer!

Where oh where did the summer go? You are such a good mom. Drew is turning out to be such a good boy (and what a darling boy, too!). Your baby girl is going to be the exact same way. Just keep hanging in there. Your students are lucky to have you as a teacher, and you'll be a stay-at-home mom someday!
