Mike got in late Wednesday night after being redirected from the interstate, which was closed down due to a wreck involving a chemical spill, and stuck in traffic for 3 hours. Poor guy, he had worked all day and then didn't get to us until almost midnight. But we got up bright and early the next morning to discover that the jellyfish were still swimming around the shallow area of the shore. We opted for a day at the pool and it was a beautiful one!
These kiddos have gotten a lot more comfortable in the pool this summer. Drew was dropping little dive sticks into the shallow water and diving down to get them, Susanna was jumping and spinning and kicking all over the place. I am so proud of them. We have been working on our swimming skills all summer as part of their
summer goals to be stronger swimmers. I love seeing them work hard!
We packed up that night and left for home early Friday morning. I had a bridal shower I was helping to host Saturday and Mike's parents were coming for the weekend before leaving to finish their mission! It was a great week and I am so thankful for my parents who work so hard to make time with family a priority and who love the beach just like me! It was definitely the perfect way to end the summer!
