4th of July {2015}

Just about 10 days late but who's counting?!  The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays.  I love this country we live in, the good and the bad, it is by far, the best country in the world.  I am always reminded just how blessed we are to live in a place that allows us so many freedoms.  I really believe that God guided the men who founded the United States as they did so.  It is blessed nation with a blessed people and I am proud and thankful to be an American.

The night before the 4th, we got a few kid-friendly fireworks...an assortment of poppers and sparklers...and had some fun in the driveway with Mike's parents who have been staying with us on and off these last few weeks before they leave to finish their mission!  And what better way to do that than in your jammies?!

We spent the day of the 4th with my side of the family at my aunt's house, swimming, eating A LOT, visiting, snuggling our cute new cousin Annalise, and just as we were heading out, we hit up the Independence Day parade in her north Louisiana town!  It was a hit with the kids too...they are loving the pool lately and I am so happy to see their little swimming skills grow!  And it is on their list of summer goals too, which I love seeing them accomplish!

My dad wore these sweet socks to the parade...the kids love when he pretends to be "Champasaurus" and so these socks are pretty much perfect!

 Love these people of mine!

Mike has become quite the photo-bomber...

We also had our own little special announcement that day...and we are pretty excited about that little fact right there!  Can't wait to find out who this new little person joining our family will be!

America, we love you!!!
