BUT I have decided that yes, we will come up with summer goals. We will keep them realistic and simple because my kids are still really young but it is never to early to start! So I have come up with my own, simple summer goals chart for little kids...
Drew and Susanna came up with 3 or 4 goals and then we talked about steps to reach those goals and filled in our weekly checklist chart. This is what they came up with!
Then we talked a little bit about why setting goals is important (gotta keep it short and sweet with kids 5 and under) and read a few goodies from this talk about doing just that. It was a good evening with our sweet kids and it was fun to hear Susanna "conduct" our family night (with her dad's help).
Here are a few I've come up with too...although, I feel like I have so many more all banging around in my crazy head!
Summer can be really fun but it can also be filled with way too much idle time, quality time that can easily be wasted watching TV or being lazy (which in moderation is totally ok with me ;). I want them to know how it feels to set a goal or have a plan and then see it through. So here's to getting on with our summer goals! Woohoo!
