In an effort to document life right before we moved to CA, we celebrated Will's first birthday with Mike's family! I can't believe how little he seems in these pictures now.
Then the big kids had 'donuts with dad' at school.
That next week Mike had to leave to start work a few days before the kids and I were scheduled to fly out, so after the movers came and packed and loaded us all up, my mom flew with me and the kids to help us get all settled into our new life. Fairfield is home to Jelly Belly jelly beans and one of the first fun things we did with the kids was visit the factory. At certain times of the day, it smells like sugar outside near the factory grounds. I can't tell you how many times we visited that place again with family and friends who would come to see us. Pretty fun place!
A few weekends later we took the kids to see the Oakland Temple. It is so big and the view from up high is pretty awesome. On clear days you can just barely see the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance.
Spring weather in northern California is dreamy. It is definitely my kind of place, not too hot and humid but no snow either!
