We have been some busy bees around here lately. We've mostly had little things going on, but LOTS of little things add up and just make life a whirlwind!
Mike and Susanna went on a date to see Cinderella! I sooooo wanted to take her but she wanted to go with her daddy and I could not deny that that was a pretty freakin' cute idea! So off they went and came home giddy and happy! It was precious...
Susanna also had her first dentist appointment. She did very well (not at all like her mother on her first dentist appointment...I still remember it...) and was so excited to get a treat from the treasure box!
(one of her rain boots came off...I don't let her go places barefoot, for the record!)
Drew did great too...he's a stud when it comes to that kind of stuff! All of us, except Jillian, had appointments within a week of each other and all of us got good reports...thank goodness for healthy teeth!
Kevin, Alissa, and Avery stopped by last week to visit and this is the only picture I got of their visit. Susanna gave Uncle KK quite the comb-over ;) They all had a blast and it was great to spend time hanging out and chatting. Love them!
Jillian is my buddy, attached at the hip, and she is the BEST little shopping buddy ever. This poor girl gets toted around with me all over and honestly, she looks like this 99.9% of the time. She is pretty charming and people at the grocery store just love her! She loves to sit in the cart like that and she just swings those little feet...its the cutest.
We had a lot of rain lately and it looks like there is even more predicted for the next few days...yuck! Our yard seriously just started to dry up, just in time for me to mow it before it rains all over again. Good thing it is warm, we might be playing in it this weekend!
Jillian loves to grab the photo albums from the living room table and look at all the pictures. This is Mike when he was in baseball...she's a mess. I've had to relocate those bad boys!
The other day, it was raining outside so the kids and I decided to do some extra chores so they could earn money to send to an orphanage in Bulgaria. I learned about it here. So we watched the video and then dusted all over the house. They each got $5 extra to donate. Drew has mentioned a few times since then that he wants to "serve a mission EVERYWHERE...Spain (like his dad ;), Russia (like his Honey & PawPaw), Mexico, and Bulgaria with the orphans". He is pretty tender-hearted and remembers so much, he just soaks it all in. Love him!
This gal is crawling all over the place and pulling up on everything! More about it in another post!
Monday I had a ton of ironing to do, the girls were sleeping, and Drew was totally bored. He said "Mom, I can't wait for dad to get here so I will have someone to play Mario memory with..." I said, "I'll play with you!" And he said, "You will?! I'll set it up while you finish ironing that shirt!" It was nice to spend time with just he and I and I'm glad I snatched that opportunity up while I had it!
Tuesday Mike called me on his way home from work and said since it was such a gorgeous day outside, we should all go for a walk. We don't get to do it that often all together. It was really nice. Drew started out on his bike but since Susanna is kind of a nutty driver, Drew took over driving the Dora jeep. Such a good big brother!
My dad came to spend the night with us on Wednesday and got some serious love from Jilly. She flirted and flirted and when he would walk out of the room, she would get so mad! Can you see her face? Pure delight, right there! Sweet times!
Today we got up and went grocery shopping and then came home and played outside before the rain comes.
Its been busy but a good kind of busy...and that is the best!
