We had Jillian's baby blessing on Mother's Day, which happened to be my 29th birthday this year. It really was an amazing day and I felt so blessed the whole time, just taking in how special it all was, especially the people who came to share it with us.
Here I am with my pretty girl on our day ;)
Both Mike's and my parents were able to come and we had great friends participate in her blessing. One of the blessings she received that really stood out to me was what a calming example of love Jillian will be for those around her. I feel like it is so appropriate for her sweet little soul! She has already helped us grow together and love each other better. I am so thankful that God has entrusted Mike and I (and Drew & Susanna as the teach and grow along side her) with her life.
Me with my 4 FAVORITE people!
And our lunch afterward was so good, I could eat this every day. We had a pretty relaxing time just hanging out at our house with our parents. We had great conversation and the kids got lots of loves. My mom brought the absolute yummiest cupcakes and Susanna and Drew blew out my candle for me. I am so thankful to my Father in Heaven for my 29 years on earth and I am so excited to see what the next 29 years will bring. It is a little bittersweet to think I am in my last year of my 20s...how did that happen?! It was also so appropriate that is fell on Mother's Day because I have really been reflecting on my role as a mother much more these days and challenging myself to be more present. This day reminded me more and more that I need to experience each day with this beautiful family of mine and focus more on them then I do myself. I think that is what makes life and is the best way that I can show gratitude to Him and to my loved ones for the blessings they are to me every day.
