5:30 this morning I woke up for work with 2-4 minute apart contractions. I decided to call in after about an hour just to stay home and monitor them. They were still going strong at 8:00 so I called my doctor's office and was told to come in to get checked. Of course, when we get in the car they slow down but pick back up at the office. He checks, says nothing right way, which I knew meant that nothing had changed, and guess what?! NOTHING HAS CHANGED SINCE MY APPOINTMENT LAST THURSDAY! What the.....????? I was thinking at least I'd be dilated a little more, considering this has been going on since Friday night!
I'm really fine with the idea of another 3 weeks, but I just wish this fake labor would stop for those 3 weeks. I was 7 cm by the time I went in to have Drew and I wasn't in any pain so my biggest fear is not knowing when it is fake or when it is real b/c we live about 45 minutes from the hospital and with traffic, it takes longer than that. I told Mike that for now, I'm just going to stop counting contractions or worrying about them when they happen because unless they are consistent for longer periods of time, nothing will change. My doctor said that because they start and stop, her head doesn't put pressure on my cervix long enough for dilation to really occur.
Anyway...that's the latest news in the McCartney household. Our poor parents are going to go crazy if we have to call them again for something that may or may not really be "it"! And Mike joked this morning that this little girl will already be punished when she gets here for making us so crazy!!
My doctor DID say that if this keeps up, he will probably induce at 39 weeks (the earliest they can, which is fine with me) so that means at most, we have about 2 weeks left!!

Good grief! This little girl is giving you a run for your money! Guess she saw how easy Drew was and figures she should spice things up a bit! Haha.. I can't imagine you going 2 more weeks with contractions like this tho!
