I'm giving myself a A+ today because my observation went AWESOME!! I was so worried, having missed yesterday that I would be totally unorganized when our principal came in today to do a formal observation on me before I go on maternity leave. My substitute wasn't able to cover everything I wanted her to yesterday but I got to work super early to make sure I could get everything under control. Thankfully, it worked out perfecty, my students were all partcipating (I DID bribe them with candy so they wouldn't be lazy and off task), my lesson flowed great and I tied in real-world connections to make it all relevant. When he left my classroom, he told me, quietly, "that was awesome, great job, thank you!"
I cannot tell you how much pressure that takes off of me! Especially with this week already being so hectic. I NEEDED this today and it feels so good to be told I'm doing a good job. I really like my job and I feel a huge responsibility to these kids, more so now with all the craziness going on politically in our country...teaching Civics is not easy.
Phew!! I feel like I can breathe a little easier (despite the little, sweet, girlie feet kicking me in the ribs and lungs ;)!

Congrats! It is so important for those kids to have a great civics/history teacher. I'm so sorry to hear about your rough start of labor. Hope the pain stops or she comes soon. We'll keep checking to see the update everyday!
Good for you girl! I bet that does make you feel good. I know you will feel even better once your sweet girl is here. Hang in there not much longer!

I knew you would do a great job. One big task down and another one to go! Little girl who doesn't have a name needs to get here soon! I was worried she was coming the other day and I was kinda hoping not because with Avery being sick I knew she shouldn't be around the baby so I was starting to freak out! So now that she getting better she can come now!!
