44 days left!

Every time I see that number on our baby ticker get smaller and smaller, I get more and more excited! I feel pretty good these days. Besides my face breaking out, my feet swelling, & the occasional sprint to the bathroom every time I sneeze, I really can't complain! This Wedndesday I go for my 34 week check-up and then I go back one more time 2 weeks later, then its down to once a week! These last few weeks have been flying! The more I start getting things ready for our baby boy, the more nervous I have been getting about labor and after delivery. I'm not so much worried about the pain but I'm dreading all the stuff afterwards like possible stiches in certain places, soreness, bleeding, breast feeding issues, etc. I'm hoping it won't be as bad as I'm imagining it. I have been talking to my sister-in-laws lately about what to pack in my hospital bag so that I can start making a list. Any suggestions are welcomed! I think the main reason for my worry is that so much of it is not in my control. I just need to remember who IS in control and know that everything will happen as it is supposed to.
I'm going to try to post an updated picture soon so stay tuned!

WOW! I feel like your pregnancy has FLOWN by! 34 WEEKS already!? Crazy! I didn't start freaking out about things until like the last 3-4 weeks. Then I FLIPPED out! In fact, I was sooo nervous/hormonal that I went to Target to get some baby wipes and I started crying righ there in the aisle b/c I was SOOOO overwhelmed at all the different brands and then all the different brand's different KINDS of wipes! I felt like I'd be a TERRIBLE mother if I got the wrong KIND! HAHA! Looking back I laugh b/c that's a nervous, hormonal pregnant woman for you! GOOD LUCK!!!!! Keep updating us! I can't wait to see what your little man looks like!!! Do y'all have a name picked out yet? Okay, this is officially the LONGEST comment EVER! So I'll stop now.

My best word of advice:

Hopefully this won't happen, but plan for a c-section, just in case.

I didn't and the clothes I brought to wear home were torturous on my incision. I just brought a pair of my maternity pants and a shirt. The seam where the pants meet the stretch panel was so painful! I waddled to the car and had to take my pants off because it hurt so bad. THIS time I'm going properly prepared:) Loose clothing!

A ponytail holder and chapstick. I almost went bazerk looking for a ponytail holder when I was in labor with Mya. My mom found one at the bottom of purse. Bless her soul! (Oh and a bobby pin if you are like me and want NO HAIR in your face.) Chapstick is just a must for a tired parched momma. I was kind if a cranky laborer so if I didn't have what I wanted I was just mad!

I am also in agreement with the loose clothing. Remember those "stitches". Anything even kind of tight hurts! In fact I would just go for a night gown or robe . (I know. Not a man's fav. Sorry Mike.)

Also, I always had Eric give me a blessing before we went to the hospital. It really calmed me, and I feel, helped the process.

You will be great. Good luck~
