We decided that since the girls had already planned to make cookies and deliver them to girls in their groups who we hadn't seen in a while, we would just stick with that! We also figured it would be a good opportunity to get to know the girls a little better. Shannon, our president, found this cute activity on Pinterest and we tweaked it to our needs. We made these yummy cookies and I made some little tags to go along with it!
It is so important to teach young people today of their self-worth. If you are confident in who you are, you are stronger...and that is what we all want for our girls (and being a mom with two daughters, I KNOW this is true). I want my children, as well as the youth in our church and everywhere else, to know that they are important, that God loves them, that we love them, and I hope I can help them to be confident in that knowledge.
It was great night and they packaged them up really cute!
