playing around

I recently got a new camera for quite a deal, I might add, and since I pretty much know nothing about photography accept that lighting is key, I've been playing around with it outside while the kids play in the water...have I mentioned it has be HOT?!

 apparently these were on the wrong setting ;) but I just think she's so pretty!

We are off to the beach on Saturday, sans Mike because his boss is on vacation right now too.  I'm really sad he won't be there.  I am excited to spend time with my family though and learn more about this camera with the help of my older brother.  It should be an adventure, to say the least!
