Russian Missionaries! {part 2}

After we saw them off at the airport, they flew to Utah for a language immersion course at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, where they spent 8 hours a day learning the language.  They were there for a week before their official report date on September 1st.  We were able to FaceTime and call that whole time but they were pretty busy so we probably only spoke to them twice a week.  They loved it and met some great people!
We tried to learn a little Russian ourselves...and the kids can both say "I love you" pretty well in Russian!

Last monday, the 15th, they left the United States for Russia and have been there for a little over a week.  We love getting emails from them, Mike was able to FaceTime them on Friday, once they got settled.  It has had its ups and downs for them and is quite the culture shock but I know they will be amazing and will bless so many lives while they are there.  I already feel the blessings in my own heart from the examples they are to me.  They have some serious faith, let me tell you!
Leaving the U.S. for Moscow

They made it all in one piece!
We sent them a package today since mail takes about a month to actually get to them.  The kids made Halloween crafts to brighten up their apartment since it is Honey's favorite holiday, we sent some candy corn and some breath mints per their request.

 We talk to the kids about them everyday and Susanna has even been pretending to be Honey, telling Mike (who she says is pretending to be PawPaw) that they are going to Russia and will see the rest of us in "just twoooo weeks!"  We recently started watching Fiefel: An American Tale, which begins in Russia, I had totally forgotten that but now the kids are even more into it!  And despite the current political relationship between our countries, which we pray will improve, we will be supporting them in their new home while praying for them and the people of that country, that they may take care of one another and grow closer to our Father in Heaven and our Savior.
Anyway, please pray for these two if you think about them...they are so special to us and we love them so much!  We are excited for their adventure and know they will do amazing things!
