family home evening

Last night, we had our family home evening on Captain Moroni and the Title of Liberty.  We read from the scriptures and then colored our own family banner, listing things that would remind us to do what we know we should be doing every day.  Drew was hilarious, listing all the good, positive activities or things he should remember to do.  He catches on pretty well...now if I can just get him to listen to me more, maybe if I point it out on our banner?  We'll see!

I'm so thankful for the Gospel and that it keeps us grounded and reminds me of what I can do to be a better wife and mother.

Oh and by the way, I know summer isn't nearly over here in Louisiana, where it will probably stay hot until Halloween, but schools started in our parish today, which just has me so excited for fall!  My favorite season!  I can hardly wait!
