He has been independent from the start. He is really coordinated and once he started talking, he was having conversations! He has always just seemed older than he really is, although size-wise not so much!
Right now, Drew is loving Kindergarten. He says PE is his favorite class but he loves reading and is doing really well. His handwriting drives me a little nuts but I just don't say anything about that! He gets along with other kids, he remembers everyone's names, and one of his friends told me he is "the class clown"...yikes! He likes to be at home, he isn't into big productions...I asked him if he wanted a cake on Thursday at my Maw Maw's or on Saturday at home and he said at her house and that thanksgiving "could be my party". We went to Sky Zone with his cousins this year to make it somewhat of a party but he just really doesn't care about all that hoopla, which I'm thankful for!
He has his moments, he is very particular and has royal fits about certain things...hoping it is just a phase, but he takes his big-brother role seriously and is all about being 6...the other night Mike told him it was time to brush teeth so he stopped playing Skylanders and said, "I really don't want to brush my teeth but since I'm 6, I'm just going to do it without arguing!" We were pretty shocked but told him how mature that was and how proud of that decision we were.
Donut holes for birthday breakfast ;)
What would I do without this guy in my life? I just don't know! He made me a mom and is my big boy! I love him to pieces...we all do...and I feel so blessed to be able to watch him continue to grow, learn, and figure out who he is!
