Drew decided to try soccer this year and we had a really fun little season. The city league here plays on Sundays and we knew we didn't want to go that route. But, there is a church in our community that hosts soccer with a Christian focus and only hold games on Saturdays. We were really happy with how it all went. We met some new people, Drew's coaches (husband and wife) live in our neighborhood, and there were a few kids from our church who were on his team or played against his team. It started in April and ended in May so the weather was great. Drew was really excited to get started and surprised me with how much he actually enjoyed the sport. He was a little silly at times, which drove Mike pretty crazy, but during his last 3 games, he scored a few goals and after that, he was really into it!
He would run out onto the field like this for almost every game...I think I its a skylander or mario thing, not sure.
Drew, Rush and Caroline. Drew and Rush were on the same team and Caroline played against them a few times! It was awesome (and pretty funny) watching these kids play!
