more summer stuff!

I can hardly believe that the summer is half way over!  We have been having some fun around here, and some lazy days, which are always nice.

We've had lots of fun with friends at birthday parties!  These 3 sweet girls are bffs at church and will be in the same grade!  It'll be fun to watch how their friendships develop...

My 4th of July wreath for our bare front door...it'll be up all summer, I'm pretty confident of that!
We picked blueberries with cousins and have eaten quite a few!

I had to decorate for our church 4th of July pancake breakfast, that was a busy weekend!
Me and my hardworking' man on the 4th!
Oh and in case you haven't discovered, moms out there, watering cans are pretty much the best summer toys!
We had family and friends over for burgers and water-sliding in the backyard on Independence day, we watched fireworks from the comfort of our front yard, the weather was actually hot but wasn't humid so it was really nice being outside as much as we were.  And those strawberries were yummy, quite a hit for the kiddos!
Jillian is literally an angel.  She is so pleasant and just goes with the flow.  She loves to get her diaper changed and this is usually the face I get once she is all clean!  I could kiss her ALL DAY!

We had more cousin time yesterday and that slide is getting some serious use this summer!  These boys are peas in a pod.  (And just for the record, Drew is NOT the youngest in this picture! ha!)
And thank our stars for the libraries around here.  Story time is so fun for the kids and it is the best way to stay inside in this south LA heat.  I love to read and so far, so do these two.  I just hope I can find ways, with the help of our community, to cultivate that into adulthood.
This weekend Jillian & I are joining my aunts, cousins, mom and sister-in-law in Texas for our very anticipated YaYa Sisterhood weekend!  I am so ready to lounge by the pool and hang out with so many women I love!  I do think I'll miss Mike and the older 2 but it'll be a grand time.  I MIGHT bring my camera but lets face it, I'm an iPhone picture taker...can't apologize for that!  However, it will get documented!
And then in 3 weeks we are off to Utah and Idaho for 12 whole days...and then, summer is over as school starts in early August...holy moly!
