Mike is 30!!

Last weekend, we celebrated Mike's 30th birthday!  He's gettin' up there, folks!  We had a few friends over to watch the LSU game on the day of his actual birthday but this weekend we planned a trip to New Orleans, just he and I.  It was much needed and a lot of fun.  We aren't often together without our sweet babies so this trip was long overdue.  We had dinner, walked to Cafe Du Monde for some awesome beignets, and browsed through a few of the not-so-creepy shops in the French Quarter.  This morning we walked around Magazine St. and ate at a really cool juice bar called Surrey's that a friend of Mike's told us about.  We had so much fun!!  Need proof?!

While we were gone, my mom came to keep the kids.  She met up with Mike's parent's and Kevin, Alissa and Avery for Boo and the Zoo.  Check out these cutie-pies!  (I haven't started on Sue Sue's costume yet so she had to wear cute Halloween clothes...seriously, CUTE!)

Drew is a pirate, he's not really into wearing his hat though...and his lips are blue from his sucker, which he informed me was his favorite candy ;)  I'm afraid this kid has inherited my sweet tooth, and if you know me, you know how big it is!

She is officially walking, everyone!  Yay!

We were a little jealous that we missed this experience but then again, a weekend alone with your honey while your kids are being perfectly taken care of, it was pretty sweet!

Happy Birthday, Michael!  You are my guy ;)  I'm so thankful for you and that you were born all those years ago and that I get to be by your side for the next 30, and then next, and the next, and the next...
