Yesterday the kids and I hung out outside for a while in the afternoon. Susanna was particularly ornery after her nap which isn't really typical of her. She cried when I changed her out of her pjs at 4:30pm, cried when I tried to open her new bubbles because she thought I was taking them, she cried when I cut her popsicle wrapper down a little so it wouldn't slide down every time I pushed it up, and she cried when her popsicle was gone. It was interesting. I don't even want to know what the neighbors thought. Drew tends to get really calm and sweet when she acts all crazy like that, which is so helpful to me. I love that kid.
If you look closely, you might see a tear still on the corner of her right eye. She was having a bi-polar kind of day!
At the end of it, she had snot, bubbles, popsicle juice and dirt on her face.
When Mike got home, we decided to go for a walk around the neighborhood. Both kids are branching out and would rather run in front of the wagon instead of ride in it. I think I might still bring it along though because toward the end, they get back in. All that running is exhausting. Thankfully, Susanna gave me a break from empty-wagon-pulling. Its a tough job ;)
We met some new kids. Drew is such a social little guy. You'd think they were old friends, right? Precious boy...I hope he never loses that. And I guess if you know his dad, he won't have much of a problem!
I hope this weather sticks around and maybe, just maybe, it will get even cooler!
