My friend Jessica and I did LOTS of sewing today. She is having a baby boy right around the same time we are expecting little girl and we both found cute, coordinating fabric on sale last week so we decided to make burp cloths. The burp cloths pictured first are made with wash cloths and the ones in this last picture are made from cloth diapers. She is a much more experienced seamstress than I am so hers turned out with straighter hems and stitching than mine did but I'm learning. These pictures, obviously, are just of the ones I made. I love the fabric and I can't wait for our sweet baby to get here so she can spit up all over them ;) I also made a blanket out of light pink flannel that I found for a really cheap price a while back but its just pink and the stitching is quite hilarious so there's no picture of that one. I'm itching to make one or two more blankets, smaller ones that are easy for packing around in a diaper bag and perfect for the car. I'll get plenty of opportunities to do so too b/c Mike bought a sewing machine for me today on amazon :) I'm so excited! He's crazy though...I'm a little dangerous with them, I think I made Jessica nervous with hers today because I can't quite push the pedal down slow enough, it always sounds like I'm going from 0 to 60 in .3 seconds! I'm glad though because the only way I'll get better is if I practice more and now I'll have a new hobby!

Those are adorable!! I absolutely love the fabric... And your hems look perfect from where I'm sitting! ;) That's really exciting about your sewing machine too. That's something I want to get into one day. Rhonda's very good at it and even made a stuffed elephant for Brayden! I'll have to show you next time y'all come over. Anyway, good luck with you're sewing adventures! ;)
