We have a bit of sad news...and actually, some of it is old news. Since the few months that we have had our little farm, we have lost 3 animals. 1 of the hens was beheaded by a chicken hawk that Brandon killed using a 2X4 and a shot gun! We've also lost 2 of our goats. One died while we were away in Nauvoo and the other died just this week. We're not really sure what they died from...we are pretty sure iPod (the one who died when we were in Nauvoo)was sick. He had gotten stuck in a mud-hole for who-knows how long and wasn't eating much after. We have no idea why our other goat died though. Pretty sad stuff...
Fortunately, our hens are shootin'out roughly 8 eggs a day! "Yea" for caged-free-roaming chicken eggs!!!
